I think its true because you make your own decisions as you get older there will be no one there to tell you to do this or do that. It is up to you to try to be successful. The only way to be truly successful is to do something that you like to do.Also because the heart is the place where you will feel the emotions on your decisions. If you CTR you will feel good. If you CTW you will feel bad for not listening to your heart.
